As computer scientists we are trained to communicate with the dumbest things in the world – computers – so you’d think we’d be able to communicate quite well with people. You have a few more options than you thought. To find out what that is, check out the full article!Ģ013 08 00- Feature Comparison: LibreOffice 4.1 - Microsoft Office 2013 We’ll spare you the suspense and tell you Microsoft Office won this battle, but only due to one reason. I will have to re-do all of my previous work. You can get 2016 Home and Student for approx US$150 from MS. There are still one-time Payment Office 2016 licenses available. I can no longer use unless I pay a yearly fee. Check out, apparently they still have a (very) few MS Works 9.0 licenses for sale. Some computers used to come with MS Works included in the price. Milking every dollar is why they switched to the Office 365 subscription As a profit making business, that is their number one priority, regardless of what anyone else says.
The Software makers have to make money some how too.īut yes, MS is definitely trying to milk every dollar they can out of Windows and Office. Totally separate companies from the hardware makers. Just because you paid HP, or ACER or Lenovo or some other computer builder for the hardware, why do you think that "all" software like Windows and Office should be "free". Hardware and software are two totally separate things. That still applies to Office 365, there is a time limited "free" trial. Many / most Windows computers have come with "Free trials" of Office, but they are always time limited. Some companies use to give uses a "free" copy of MS Works, that included Word, but they had to buy it and the price was bundled with the computer. Sorry, Full Office licenses have never "come free" with ANY copy of Windows on new computers. You are just trying to milk people for every dollar you can get when times are tough anyway. So the installed software should come ready to use. WHY? People spend large amounts of money for hardware All other previous OS's were user friendly but 365 is not because you charge for it. You just started charging for it on Windows 8.
If you have those 2 things just perform a normal install process.
